Brian Sokol is an independent photographer dedicated to documenting human rights issues and humanitarian crises in conflict-affected societies.
A recipient of National Geographic Magazine's Eddie Adams Grant, he has been selected as one of PDN's 30 Emerging Photographers To Watch.
His work has been exhibited at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles and United Nations headquarters in New York and Geneva. Further exhibitions include Madrid, Barcelona, Geneva, Lisbon, Buenos Aires, Porto, Palma and Siem Reap, and projections at Visa Pour l'Image, Perpignan and Festival de Cannes.
Editorial clients include TIME, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Harper's Magazine, Smithsonian, Stern, Der Spiegel, and GEO.
He works with corporate and advertising clients such as Ogilvy & Mather, the World Bank Group, Philips and Miyamoto International.
Humanitarian clients and include UNHCR, UNICEF, UNESCO, UNDP, MSF, CARE, Comic Relief and the IKEA and La Caixa Foundations.
He is represented by Panos Pictures and is a Sony Global Imaging Ambassador.
